TBC was created in 2020 by founder Cordara D. Thompson, purely out of his affection for his community. Seeing the vast opportunities it holds, he became inspired to assist those who may not believe they can be Owners and compete in the marketplace, that they can. With the hopes this will ignite a domino effect that’ll breed more jobs, create more opportunities and a stronger community overall.

Thompson began his professional career working in the Youth Development, nonprofit sector. He’s always been passionate about youth, helping others learn, grow and reach their greatest potential. This developed as a result of his desire to be for others, the role model he needed as a child. He spent eight years in the industry. Five as a part-time staff while pursuing his Bachelor’s of Arts in Accounting degree, three years post-graduation as Program Director.

Analytical by nature, he has always had a love for numbers, processes and solving complex problems. His curiosity and “end-result” thinking is an asset he believes gives him an competitive advantage. One of his favorite quotes is from the late Nipsey Hussle, “I look at it like the game is gonna test you. Everything gonna test you, if it’s worthwhile, and you gonna make decisions based on what you care about more.” He relishes the test, for he believes the Man/Woman who succeeds despite all the obstacles and road blocks, has a deeper reservoir of experienced pain that can motivate them to find a way through anything. By any means necessary.

Belief and confidence were key factors on why he himself hadn’t yet become an Owner. He decided to shift his focus to independence, completely through studying. Using the time he would otherwise use to watch sports and consumption of less beneficial endeavors, now digging deeper into the field of Entrepreneurship. Calling his own shots, making his own schedule, creating flexibility to spend more time with his family and enjoy life has always been the ultimate goal. He devised his strategy and created a blueprint he can use to assist others on their journey just the same.
